Nicole Koren

Chthonic Priestess
Nicole’s spiritual path began with a school project in middle school—a simple task to create a family crest. What she uncovered during her research led her deep into the myth and mystery of the Greek pantheon. Her maiden name was derived from Kore, the name of Persephone before she became Queen of the Underworld. Though not of Greek heritage, Nicole felt an unshakable connection to Persephone and, through her, to the other Chthonic gods who dwell in the liminal places between light and dark.
In recent years, Nicole’s devotion has deepened, aligning her closely with both Persephone and Hades. For her, they represent the sacred balance—of life and death, shadow and radiance, rootedness and transformation. She walks that balance with intention, and it shapes her ministry.
When her practice expanded beyond solitary devotion into shared ritual, Nicole discovered a new vitality in her path. Speaking her truth aloud gave it power—and with it, a sacred responsibility. As Priestess, she embraces that responsibility with authenticity, passion, and a sense of deep accountability to the gods and to her community.
At Úlfsalhöll brings insight and scholarship to ritual, and offers teachings grounded in myth, symbol, and personal devotion. Her work reminds us that even in the depths, there is beauty and wisdom.
Outside of ritual, Nicole is a pillar of the local community. She runs a metaphysical shop, organizes monthly artist and vendor events, and is active in the civic league. She’s also a devoted mother, a dedicated gardener, and a lover of horror films and murder-podcasts.
